Drew's Achieves Important "SQF" Food Safety Certification
Drew’s LLC is proud to announce that it has achieved an important milestone in its efforts to develop world-class quality systems at its Vermont manufacturing facility. The company has achieved certification from the Safe Quality Food Institute in meeting the SQF 2000 Code of food safety.
The SQF (“Safe Quality Food”) audit standard ensures a meticulous adherence to scientifically-based and food industry-accepted best practices in food safety and quality systems:
- SQF is a complete food safety and quality management certification system which is designed specifically for the food industry and can be applied at all levels of the food supply chain.
- SQF provides independent certification that a product, process or service complies with international, regulatory and other specified standard(s), and enables a food supplier to give assurances that food has been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards.
According to John Cummings, Chief Operating Officer, “This certification is important to independently verify our food safety procedures. We intend to maintain a leadership position in quality management systems and this achievement will give us a competitive advantage in the industry as we are confident in our ability to guarantee that our products are of the highest quality.”
